10 Packing Must Haves For Walt Disney World

There are some items that I absolutely must pack in my luggage for a Disney Vacation. The items may increase/change with the season or resort festivities, but here are the 10 must haves that always make it into my travel bag no matter what.

Facial Mist - My personal favorite is Fresh Rose Floral Toner. This is a facial mist that smells beautiful, and can give your skin midday hydration and toning. It's also a setting spray, so you can spritz it throughout the day to refresh your makeup to prevent creasing and melting. The bottle is sort of large, so I pour some into a travel size mist bottle to take into the park. This is a pricey toner at $40 a bottle, but I swear by the quality. They use to offer a travel size version for $10, but it is no longer available on the Fresh website or Sephora. A cheaper alternative that I like, but not even close to as much, is Mario Badesco facial spray with aloe, herb, and rosewater. A travel size bottle will only run you $5. This spray is great for hydration, but does not have the same benefits to your makeup.

Poncho - On any given day their is a 200% chance that it will rain in Orlando. Sometimes, it's a torrential down pour and other times it is a light 30 second shower. Umbrellas are bulky and could be annoying to carry around, but having a poncho is really convenient. I prefer a poncho made from a thinner material like nylon only, that can be folded small enough to fit in a 3 X 4 pouch. Click here to purchase

Minnie Ears - I own a large and continuously growing collection of Minnie Mouse headband ears and I am not ashamed! With the exception of my Disneybounding days, you will usually catch me sporting an ears headband in the parks. I always bring a variety with me on every Disney trip. In addition to the selection available at Disney parks, you can find many online shops with quality handmade Minnie ears.

A Disneybound outfit - On normal park operating days, guests over the age of 14 are not allowed to wear costumes. However, Disneybounding is the next best thing! Some guests enjoy showing their love of Disney by wearing Disney themed merchandise, but Disneybounding takes the show to the next level. Disneybounding is creating outfits inspired by a Disney character or entity. Pinterest is a great place to find Disneybounding ideas. I typically pack at least 1 Disneybound for all of my Disney trips.

Portable phone charger - All 4 parks at Walt Disney World offer multiple charging stations free of charge. These ports do require you to bring your own charging accessories. I find however, that the ports are slow to charge my device, not to mention they require me to take the time to sit and wait for my phone to get juice. I prefer to bring a portable lightening charger. It offers a quicker charge, and I can charge my phone while enjoying rides.  Click here to purchase

Mini camera tripod - Tripods small enough to fit in a backpack are permitted in Walt Disney World. The tripod actually gives us the ability to take photos of ourselves without involving other guests. The small tripods can also provide a unique angle that a person would be unable to achieve without practically crawling on the ground.  Click here to purchase

MagicBands - Or what I would like to call the keys to the kingdom! MagicBands cut down on the need to bring a wallet full of cards. The band can contain Fastpasses, Walt Disney World hotel room keys, tickets, can be used to save Photopass pictures, and guests can even add a credit card and pin to make purchases. Not having to keep up with all those cards anymore is amazing!

Annual Pass Card - The one card I do carry around is my annual pass. This is because my pass allows me to get discounts on dining, merchandise, and experiences. It also gets me access to free parking. Passholders have access to exclusive merchandise and events.

Mini First Aid Kit - Disney may be the most magical place on earth, but that doesn't mean it comes without headaches. This is why I always carry a small kit, with the purpose being to have Advil, Dramamine, and Pepto available just in case. I also like to carry a travel size bottle of sunscreen and lip balm in the kit. If you are traveling with small children it may be a good idea to stock some band-aids as well.

Hand santizer and Klorox wipes - Long story short, there are thousands of people everyday touching the rails, doors, interactive queue games etc. Some of them could be sick and many of them are just gross. Protect yourself...😉
