8 Retailers To Shop for Disney Merchandise Outside The Resorts

There is no denying that Disney inspired fashion is extremely popular right now. With accounts such as Disneybound and Disney Style providing inspiration for the perfect Disney outfit, many fans are flocking to online and in-store retailers to get Disney gear. ShopDisney.com and Disney resorts are the ultimate stop for any Disney branded merchandise. However, if you can't make it to the parks or you find the merchandise there to be pricey, there are plenty of shops that sell amazing Disney merchandise.

Target

I could think of a gazillion reasons to step foot into Target. If you are lucky enough to have a super Target in your area, it's even more difficult to resist the lure. Target has always been known to carry tackier franchise heavy Disney merch, which has historically catered to young children. However, over the last decade or so they've started carrying adult size merch that is more aesthetically pleasing. It gets better and better every year.

Forever 21

To be honest, I never really cared for Forever 21, not because of the look of the clothing, but quite frankly, because many of the bottoms just aren't made for my body type. I really like the price point, so this has always been a bit disappointing. I am however, able to find some gems in the store from time to time, and I can wear the jackets and tops just fine. Regardless of where the item is, I can't resist good Disney merch, and Forever 21 has a nice selection to choose from.

BoxLunch

BoxLunch is the king of themed merchandise retailers. Not much to say about this place other than you MUST go check it out! They do have an eCommerce site, but I recommend taking a visit to a brick and mortar location if you get the chance.

Urban Outfitters

I have an interesting relationship with UO. I use to work there, so I have an opinion about my experience - but that's for another day. Any opinion I had however, was easily soothed with my 40% employee discount that converted their overpriced average quality clothing to a price more comparable to Kohl's or JC Penny. Despite my opinion, this is one of the best employee discount programs that I have ever seen from a retailer, and I absolutely love of the two sister retailers, Free People and Anthropologie! Getting back to the point..... The presence of Disney merch in UO isn't necessarily consistent, but when they do carry it, it's the good stuff for sure. Usually, it sports a vintage feel, which I'm currently into.

Gap

Right now, Gap has the most adorable Disney merch. The catch?? Well if you aren't a baby, small child, or have one of those, this does you absolutely no good. Sad, I Know. What this says to me though, is that in the future they could expand the collection to adult clothing because the market is certainly hot right now. Gap does Disney well, so fingers crossed. In the meantime, they have great merchandise for small children!

Zara

Last year, Zara had an amazing Disney release. Sadly many of those items are no longer available. Those infamous Mickey patterned shorts went bye-bye before I ever realized they existed. They have items for men, women, and children. I'm looking forward to the next launch and hope they have more Mickey patterned shorts this summer!😭

 Coach

Let me start by saying none of this is cheap, but the collection is pretty fantastic. If you like edgier merchandise and want something that most people won't have, this is probably for you. Price isn't always everything...

Hot Topic

Most Disney fans are aware of the greatness that is Hot Topic. You can get really affordable dresses that look suspiciously like character costumes, but most are all Disney Parks approved. There are plenty of accessories to suit your Disneybounding needs. If you can think of it, there is a good chance it could be in Hot Topic.
